This month I have had much time with family here. It has been a blessing in many ways as it always is. The first weekend I went I also informed them that this would be my last term with PACE and was not sure when I would be back. This was very hard news to share especially with my sister Charity. But we had much fun through the weekend. Imani (Charity's daughter) greeted me like I never left. We connected like I have never been gone. This is an amazing feeling. I was also able to attend Faith's church in Nakuru which was a blessing. First because I do not have the chance to attend adult fellowship while I am here. We meet with the kids at school on Sundays which is good but not the same as worshiping with adults. Of course this means I am the only white person and I am pointed out. And I have to say something. Then I was asked to meet with the kids at the end of the service to they could talk with me. It was awkward at first but then they started to ask me questions and it was okay. I also got hold a baby through that time. I found out after that this child never seems to be settled and he never fussed for me. Of course this was odd seeing me care for this child. I big perception in this culture is that we (white people) do not work. So to see me caring for a child they would see is odd. Little do they know.
