Easter

This was my second time to be in Kenya for Easter. The last time was in 2012 so it have been a while. Since it was Easter we were really feeling like we needed to attend church. As I have mentioned the hard part here is to find a church were we are not pointed out and made to talk. We just wanted to go and enjoy an Easter service.  When I was hear in 2012 I attended a Easter weekend church conference in Nairobi. This is a conference that Pastor Mugo attends and is a part of. So I suggested that we travel to Nairobi to attend the service on Sunday.  Pastor Mugo would be there as well as Charity, Imani and June. So we decided to travel to Nairobi on Sat. and then attend church on Sunday. David and Diane would leave on Sunday and then I was going to stay until Monday. I would travel home with Mugo and family and spend the night there and return on Tuesday.  I decided to not tell Charity that I was coming. So it was a great surprise Sat. night when they were done service to surprise them.

It was good to be at the conference again. Though the services are long (3 to 5 hours) the worship and teaching are good. And most of it is in English so that makes it even better for me.

It was Faith's (Mugo wife) birthday while we were gone for the weekend. She had stayed home to be with two of the kids that stay with them during school break from PACE. So on our way home we stopped for a birthday cake to celebrate.

So another good weekend filled with many blessings.

Meal together after surprising them with me being there.
