More and More....

Time keeps moving forward. Faster most days then I would like. I return back to Canada next Saturday. Always seems like time goes to fast. School has closed now and the most of the kids have gone home. Grade 8 and 12 remained behind to write there exams.  Grade 8 starts today and will write for three days. Then Grade 12 will start next Monday and will write for three weeks. These exams and the marks they receive on them will determine there next steps. It is a lot of pressure. We are not aloud at school while they are writing but will go over after and spend some time with them and bring some treats.

This month has been busy. Filled with two teams as well as a week long conference. We just said good bye to the last team.  Now my focus is saying the last good byes to friends and family and finishing up what I need to do before heading back to Canada.

Library Time

Traveling home from Nakuru and a Mom needed help so I got to hold the baby. What a blessing.

This is a picture with my Sunday school class. Grade 11.  Of course one serious shot and one not so much.

Thanksgiving in Kenya

Once again this year we (David, Diane and myself) had a chance to celebrate Thanksgiving in Kenya.  It is always great to sit down in Kenya and celebrate a Canadian holiday. We had Chicken, mashed potato's, carrots, dressing and apple pie. And we enjoyed in front of a fire. Many things to be thankful for.

Good Times

I love my kids. I think this picture says it all. I love when the kids want to play with my hair...well most of the time. Never having a sister to play with my hair or hair long enough when I was young I really enjoy it now. Of course they want to braid my hair like they have theirs but as they say my hair is too slippery for them to stay in.  So one day I brought in a bunch of small elastics.  It took them quite some time to come up with this as they would start something then change it. But this is what I walked home with. You can not see the back but there was at least 10 - 15 braids.

We have also turned the library into photo studio.  I have spent the last two weeks taking pictures of our graduating students. I has been fun to do and to use the library to do it. It requires to move things around but we have nice white wall and fairly good lighting which is hard to find.

Keep Moving

Life here continues to move forward. It is hard to believe that it is already Oct. Not only does that mean I leave in 5 weeks it means that another year seems to be moving along.  Life here continues to be busy.  This month will include two US teams coming as well as a summit for leaders.  It will be a busy month with lots of activity. And we will close school in three weeks.  The kids are in there last month before there school year ends. I continue to be busy in the library and enjoying the kids.  I also continue to help to fix their books when they are coming apart as well as applying band ads when needed.  We are a full service library.  Below are some more pictures of the kids in the library.
