Gods Presence

I had to share these pictures. I was leaving the library at the end of the day and this was the sky.  I had to put my things down and take a picture.  I said. Thank you God.

Back with the Kids

Well I have been here a week now.  I have had the library open for one week know. It has been good to get back into routine. Some of the kids are new so getting to know them.  The class (grade) one are all new to me.  There is 18 of them.  I have split the class in half and only take one half at a time. There English is not so good so it is easier to work with half at a time.

I have also been able to see some of my other family that are around my home.  It has been good to connect with people again and look forward to connecting with rest.

The rain has been pretty steady since I arrived. Not many days have gone by with no rain. It has been much.

Tonight I will be spending my nights at Dorris's (another missionary's) house for the next 3 weeks. Normally I stay with David and Diane in the same house.  Diane's father passed away so she has gone back to Canada and will be there until July.  When I arrive David was doing some travelling.  He comes back home tonight and we are aloud to stay in the same house alone.  So I will be shifting for the nights.  Will be a little hard as I just got settled but it will all work out.

I have also been enjoying my good banana's again and coke in a bottle.  Most likely a little too much coke but it is just so good here.

All is all getting back into routine and feeling like I never left.

Blessing the boy I used to be at PACE. There mom now helps to clean at the house once a week. Then we get to play with the kids while they play.

I Have Arrived

I have arrived back in Kenya safe and sound.  I have said before but will say it again, it is like I never left.  I know I am to be here when you come to the country and walk into the house and do not feel out of place and everything "seems" normal. When the crazy driving does not alarm you (as much). When the rooster talks all night long.  You hear donkeys through the night.  You lock three doors when leaving the house. No hot water coming out of the tap.  The need to look down when you are walking to avoid tripping on the roads. And many more things that are just "normal" here in Kenya.

Today I went to chapel and saw the kids for the first time.  It was so good to see them again and they seemed happy to see me as well. Tomorrow I will go to town for the first time to get some things I will need. Then to the library to get it ready for the kids and prepare myself for the week.

My body is still catching up on time but that will come too.

Pictures will come soon. Just wanted to give a quick update.

Time to head back

Well six months has gone by once again which means it is time to head back to Kenya. It has once again been good to be back in Canada but now it is time to get back to my kids and the library.  I will be leaving on Thursday.  The bags are all most packed and I am ready to go. Once again I will do my best to keep this blog updated.  I look forward to keeping you all posted on the events for the next six months.

A lunch to say thank you
